New Delhi: Glenn Phillips, the New Zealand all-rounder, showcased a brilliant performance on Day 2 (Friday, October 25) of the second Test between India and New Zealand. He successfully dismissed Indian wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant for 18 runs. The match is taking place at the Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Pune, serving as the second game of the three-match series between the two teams.
Rishabh Pant walked out to bat after Mitchell Santner dismissed Virat Kohli. The left-hander looked in good touch as he hit a couple of boundaries on his way to 18 and seemed to have carried his form from the first Test in Bengaluru.
However, on the second ball of the 31st over bowled by Phillips, the 27-year-old opted for a big swipe across the line. The bounce deceived Pant as it kept low and went under his swinging willow to disturb the woodwork and end his knock.
