Lakers to Pay Tribute to Jerry West with Commemorative Jersey Patch this Season

The Los Angeles Lakers will kick off the 2024-25 season by paying tribute to Jerry West on Tuesday, Oct. 22. They will face off against the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Crypto.com Arena at 10 pm ET, with the game airing on TNT.

Recognizing the significant contributions West made to the organization as a player and executive across three decades, the team will wear a commemorative No. 44 band on the left shoulder of its uniform this season.
